How a sponsored giveaway works

1. You tell us about the prize. BeThere sets the giveaway up in the app with its title, picture, description and the date the winner is drawn. As BeThere’s raffle terms require, the giveaway names you as its sponsor before anyone enters.

2. Fans earn tickets by playing. Every game a fan finishes in BeThere pays raffle tickets, and a higher score earns more. No purchase is necessary.

3. Fans enter in the Rewards tab. Giveaways are listed in the app’s Rewards tab, and BeThere can also feature one on the app’s Home screen. Each ticket a fan spends is one entry.

4. BeThere draws and notifies the winner. The winner is drawn at random from all entries, so a fan with more entries has a better chance. The winner is told in the app and/or by email.

A giveaway can be open to every fan, or only to fans who have reached a set milestone in the app.

What you provide

• The prize. Under BeThere’s Terms, prizes can be merchandise, apparel or promotional items, or discounts, coupons and promotional offers from participating businesses. Prizes can’t be cash and can’t be exchanged for cash.
• The details for the listing: what the prize is, a picture of it, and when you’d like the giveaway to run.
• For a discount or offer: its terms. The Terms say offers are provided directly by the business and are subject to that business’s own conditions.

What you get

Your prize is listed in the app as your giveaway, where fans can see it and enter it with the tickets they’ve earned.

You also receive contact details from entrants who agree to share them, as BeThere’s Raffle Entry Data Sharing Consent and Privacy Policy describe:

• What is shared: the entrant’s email address and username, and when they entered.
• Only with two consents. The entrant must accept the data-sharing agreement in the app before their first raffle entry and, on iPhone, allow tracking in Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt.
• Entrants who decline still enter and can still win. Their details are not shared, and BeThere fulfils their prize itself.
• How you may use it: running the giveaway (contacting the winner, checking eligibility, prize fulfilment), marketing emails about your products or services, following up with interested fans, and measuring your campaign. Every entrant can unsubscribe from your emails at any time, and once shared, the data falls under your own privacy policy.
• Never shared: phone numbers, location, payment information, gameplay history, app usage data or device identifiers.

Entrants must be US residents aged 18 or older (19+ in Alabama and Nebraska, 21+ in Massachusetts), and giveaways are void where prohibited. BeThere’s employees and their immediate families can’t win prizes.

Who it suits

• Local businesses near a ballpark or stadium that want to reach sports fans on game day.
• Brands that make merchandise, apparel or gear fans would want to win.
• Businesses that would rather offer a discount or promotional offer than a physical prize.
