What you play with instead of money

Points. They’re your score for one game, not a balance you carry around, top up or cash out. You earn them two ways:

• Your players. You draft a few players from the game, and their real stats turn into fantasy points as the game goes on.
• Your calls. Each right answer to a Challenge adds points. A wrong answer adds nothing and takes nothing away, so a bad night can’t push your score below zero.

There’s nothing to buy in the app and no entry fee. When a game ends you collect raffle tickets (more for a higher score) and can enter them in giveaways in the Rewards tab. Under the Terms, prizes are things like merchandise, apparel and promotional items or discounts from participating businesses, and they can’t be exchanged for cash.

What a live Challenge is, and why it’s not a bet

A Challenge is a short question about the game you’re watching (will this batter get a hit, how does this drive end), open for a few seconds or minutes while the play is live. You answer it for points. No money goes in and none comes out: under the Terms it’s a free contest decided by skill and knowledge of sports.

How that works in practice:

• Nothing is put up. Every Challenge is free to answer. You can’t put more on a pick you feel strongly about, and there’s no minimum or maximum.
• A wrong call costs nothing. It just doesn’t add points.
• Multipliers scale points, not cash. A ×4 on a touchdown call turns a 20-point Challenge into 80 points on your score.
• Points can’t be bought or cashed out. They decide your place on that game’s leaderboard and your tier, which sets how many raffle tickets you collect.

Who BeThere suits

• Fans at the ballpark or stadium who want something to call every inning or drive.
• Friends watching the same game, in person or apart, who want one leaderboard to settle who called it.
• Anyone who likes predicting plays and wants that on a real game, for free.

What BeThere is not

• Not a sportsbook. No deposits, withdrawals, wallets or cash prizes.

Who can play

BeThere’s Terms describe its contests as free to enter and decided by participants’ skill and knowledge of sports. To play you must be at least 18 years old (19+ in Alabama and Nebraska, 21+ in Massachusetts) and a legal resident of the United States, and contests are void where prohibited by law.
